Auto Repair & Service in Titusville, By System.

Twenty-two things we do in the shop at 3762 S Hopkins Ave — grouped the way a vehicle is actually built, with what each one is and the signs you need it. Domestic and foreign. Cars, trucks (including 4x4), SUVs and vans — no diesel or European vehicles. Only quality parts are used.

What We Work On

Five Systems, Start To Finish.

If you already know what you need, jump to it. If you don't, read the symptoms — that's usually enough to tell us what it's doing over the phone.

01

Heating & A/C

3 Operations

In Brevard County the air conditioning is not a luxury and the cooling system is the only thing standing between a Florida summer and a dead engine. Both get looked at properly, not just topped off.

  • 01

    Air-conditioning / heating service

Vents blowing warm is a symptom, not a diagnosis. We find out why — and take care of the heater side too, for the handful of mornings a year you actually want it.

  • 02

    Cooling system service

Water pump, thermostat, hoses and coolant. Heat is what kills engines down here, and this is the system that keeps it in check — worth servicing before it announces itself on the side of US-1.

  • 03

    Radiators

Leaks, blockages and full replacement. A temperature gauge creeping higher than it used to, or a sweet smell after you shut the car off, is worth a look before it becomes an engine bill.

02

Brakes & Suspension

4 Operations

The two systems that decide whether the car stops straight and sits level. Brake work is the one thing we'd never ask you to put off — everything else on this page can usually wait a week.

  • 04

    Brakes / clutches

Pads, shoes, rotors, drums and the hydraulics behind them — plus clutch work on manual vehicles. A grind when you stop, a pedal that sinks, or a pull to one side all mean it's already past due for a look.

  • 05

    ABS diagnosis / repair

An ABS light on the dash means the system has logged a fault and may not help you in a panic stop. We read the stored codes and trace it back to the cause — a wheel-speed sensor, a damaged tone ring, or the hydraulic side — instead of replacing parts to find out.

  • 06

    Shocks / springs

Worn dampers let the body float over dips, nose-dive under braking, and quietly chew the inside edge off your tires. Replaced in pairs so the vehicle sits and settles evenly side to side.

  • 07

    Struts / ball joints

A strut carries both the damping and the suspension load; a ball joint is the pivot the whole corner hangs on. Clunking over bumps and steering that wanders on the highway usually start here.

03

Engine & Drivability

6 Operations

Everything from a stumble at a stoplight to a complete engine replacement. This is where diagnosis earns its keep — we find the cause first, then call you with a price, and we only do what you authorize.

  • 08

    Drivability issues

The catch-all for "it doesn't drive right" — hesitation, stalling, a rough idle, a hard start, or a check-engine light that comes and goes. Bring us the symptom and we'll chase it to the cause rather than guessing at parts on your dime.

  • 09

    Ignition

Plugs, wires, coils and the ignition components that fire them. A misfire that feels like a stumble at cruising speed, or a rough shake at idle, most often lands in this system.

  • 10

    Timing belt replacement

An interval job, not a repair — it gets replaced on mileage, before it fails. On an interference engine a snapped belt can turn a routine service into an engine job, so this is one worth doing on time.

  • 11

    Tune-ups

The scheduled refresh of the ignition and wear components that quietly cost you smoothness and mileage as they age. Call with your year, make and model and we'll tell you what yours covers.

  • 12

    Gas engine repairs and installs

Individual engine repairs right up through a complete engine replacement on gas vehicles — domestic and foreign alike.

  • 13

    Jasper engine installation

We proudly install Jasper engines. When a motor is past repairing, a remanufactured Jasper unit installed here in the shop is often the sensible way to keep a vehicle you otherwise like.

04

Fluids & Scheduled Maintenance

4 Operations

The cheapest work in the shop, and the reason regulars stop ending up in the repair column. We'll tell you what your vehicle's schedule actually calls for — and nothing it doesn't.

  • 14

    General maintenance

The routine round of fluids, filters, belts and a look over the vehicle — the work that keeps small things from becoming the reason you're getting towed.

  • 15

    Oil changes

Oil and filter, done properly, with an honest look over the rest of the vehicle while it's up on the lift. If we spot something, we tell you — we don't fix it unless you say so.

  • 16

    Scheduled maintenance

Your manufacturer's maintenance schedule, done on time and done here. Bring the year, make and model and we'll tell you where yours stands.

  • 17

    30-60-90K service

The bigger interval services that come due at 30,000, 60,000 and 90,000 miles. What's in each one depends on the vehicle — call us with yours and we'll go through exactly what it covers and what it costs before anything is started.

05

Drivetrain & Steering

5 Operations

Getting the power to the wheels, and pointing them where you want to go. Most of what goes wrong here announces itself early — a click, a clunk, or a steering wheel that no longer sits straight.

  • 18

    CV joints, boots and shafts

A torn CV boot slings grease and lets grit straight into the joint. Caught early it's a boot; caught late it's an axle. A click on tight turns is the classic sign.

  • 19

    Rack and pinion

The steering rack itself — leaks, play and replacement. Wandering on the highway, a heavy or notchy spot in the wheel, or power-steering fluid on the driveway all point here.

  • 20

    Axle work

Axles, shafts and the hardware that actually delivers power to the wheels, on cars, trucks (including 4x4), SUVs and vans.

  • 21

    Front end work

Tie rods, idler and pitman arms, bushings — the parts that hold your alignment in place. Uneven tire wear and loose, vague steering almost always start in the front end.

  • 22

    Jasper transmission installation

We proudly install Jasper transmission products. When a unit needs replacing, we fit a remanufactured Jasper in its place — in-house transmission rebuilding and servicing isn't work we take on, so you get a straight answer on that from the first phone call.

Don't see it on the list?

Call and ask. We'll tell you straight.

Quality Parts. Most Vehicles.

What goes on your vehicle

Only quality parts are used. We keep the names the shop has always run, and we proudly install Jasper engines and transmission products when a unit needs replacing rather than repairing.

About The Work Itself.

Hours, location and general service questions are answered on the home page.

Do you install engines and transmissions?

Yes. We proudly install Jasper engines and transmission products. When a transmission needs replacing, we install a Jasper remanufactured unit — in-house transmission service isn't work we take on.

What parts do you use?

Only quality parts are used. We stock AC Delco, Bendix, Bosch and GM parts, and we install Jasper engine and transmission products.

What is a 30/60/90K service?

It's the manufacturer's scheduled maintenance for your vehicle at the 30,000, 60,000 and 90,000 mile marks. What it includes depends on your year, make and model — call us with those and we'll tell you what yours calls for and what it costs.

I don't know what's wrong with it. Can you figure it out?

Yes — that's what drivability work is. Tell us what it's doing and we’ll diagnose it, then call you with the price before any work starts.

Is the work covered by a warranty?

Ask us about our warranties when you call — we'll go over what applies to your repair.
